Andr (TW)
Indie Pop, Alternative R&B, Indie Rock
Andr (an-der) is a rising Taiwanese artist known for her genre-defying blend of Indie Pop, Alternative R&B, and Indie Rock. With her guitar as the main instrument and ambient field recordings layered into her sound, Andr builds atmospheric, emotionally resonant songs that seamlessly weave between Mandarin and English lyrics. Her soulful voice, paired with cinematic and experimental arrangements, has made her one of the most exciting new voices in Asia’s alt-pop scene. She first garnered attention with her debut single “Night Lotion”, which was selected for Spotify’s Best of Radar 2023. Her full-length debut album “shhh, it’s under my bed” was released in October 2024 to critical acclaim. The lead single “Yarn” was featured as the theme song for ELLE Taiwan’s anniversary, and she quickly packed her first-ever 1,000- capacity headline show in Taipei, marking a major milestone in her live career. Andr’s international appeal has been bolstered by cross-border collaborations: “Swapping Socks”, co-written with Thai synth-pop artist mindfreakkk, and “Cat & Mouse”, produced by Japanese beatmaker A.G.O, both made waves on major playlists across Asia, solidifying her as a rising regional figure. In 2024–2025, she was featured in Rolling Stone, performed at SXSW Sydney and SXSW Austin, and was spotlighted by Spotify Radar and Apple Music UP NEXT—two of the world’s top emerging artist programs. Her debut album has been nominated for Album of the Year and Best New Artist by prestigious awards including the Golden Melody Awards, Golden Indie Music Awards, and Fresh Music Awards (Singapore). With a voice that transcends language and music that breaks borders, Andr is fast becoming a powerful new presence in the global indie music scene.

Annie Claude Deschênes (CAN)
Minimal Pop, Electronic Music
Annie-Claude Deschênes embraces multidisciplinary in her quest to merge music and performance art, challenging stage conventions.
A prominent figure in Montreal's independent music scene for over twenty years, she gained recognition as the frontwoman of the cult bands Duchess Says and PyPy. Annie's solo project marks a shift from aggression to dystopian disco vibes. Inspired by minimal pop and electronic pioneers, her debut album, LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE, is both danceable and disquieting, reexamining social codes of politeness.

Byre Parula (CAN)
Indie, Alternative
Bye Parula is the kind of trio that seems to have emerged from an old VCR, somewhere be-tween a dusty reel of 70s cinema and today’s indie pop dream. Formed in Montreal in 2020, the group brings together three distinct personalities bound by a shared vision: Sergio d’Isanto (drums, vocals), Sebastán Riquelme (guitar, vocals), and Loïc Calatayud (vocals, bass) converge to fuse their influences into a balance that’s as fragile as it is fascinating. With one ear turned to the soundtracks of a bygone era and the other immersed in the cur-rents of contemporary pop, Bye Parula crafts a repertoire where finely honed arrangements weave around stripped-down poetry. Their debut album, released in 2022, quietly radiates elegance. Produced by sonic alchemist Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson, Flore Laurentenne) and enhanced by the mix of Warren C. Spicer (Plants & Animals), the album unfolds sonic landscapes where Mélanie Bélair’s strings (Patrick Watson) and Aurélien Tomasi’s brass flirt with the captivating keys of Mathieu Charbonneau (Timber Timbre, Avec pas d’casque). But it's on stage where Bye Parula truly ignites, as a power trio delivering an explosive energy, backed by three-part vocal harmonies that intertwine with surgical precision. Balancing the sophistication of their arrangements with the rawness of a stripped-back set, the group embodies a duality that’s as magnetic as it is unforgettable.

Chiara Savasta (CAN)
Indie Pop, Singer-Songwriter
Chiara Savasta is a singer-songwriter from Montreal. Born in the suburbs of the city, onto a generation burdened by anxiety and disillusion, Chiara would sit in her room and romanticize her life through songwriting. This way of escaping her teenage life became the foundation of her first project Summerhood. Released in 2022, Summerhood is Chiara’s own take on the coming-of-age experience, as she herself stumbles into adulthood. Her new project, brand new girl, brand new machine, captures the universal experience of feeling too much of everything at once, in our early twenties. This new chapter reveals a more grounded and mature soul, gradually finding her footing in the world. It’s through these ups and downs, always chasing the next dream, that Chiara became a brand new girl, like a brand new machine.

Goodnight Sunrise (CAN)
Alternative Rock, Pop, Punk
Fueled by the dual masculine-feminine vocal alchemy of Vanessa Vakharia and David Kochberg, Goodnight Sunrise celebrate a sound that blends alternative rock, pop, and punk – a kind of well-orchestrated ecstasy for all the senses. Since their founding in 2011, they have proven at over 400 concerts that they know how to summon this energy with their audience. Always with a changing lineup, always with fresh ideas, yet consistently with uncompromising power and the determination to create unforgettable experiences. Albums like Falling Awake (2016) or the much-acclaimed Against All Odds (2022) – praised heavily by the Canadian music press – are impressive testaments to a band that can continuously vary and develop its take on contemporary rock music without compromising a style honed over years – something far from a given in our times. With their new album Get A Life (2025), Goodnight Sunrise prove once again that they still master this feat.

Honey I'm Home (NLD)
Indie-Pop, Shoegaze, Indie-Rock
Honey I’m Home blend the raw energy of ‘90s alternative rock with a modern edge. Formed by members of Marathon, Jagd, and Banji, the five-piece weave shoegaze, indie, and a hint of emo into an atmospheric sound that recalls My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, and Slow Pulp, while remaining distinctly their own.
Their shows move seamlessly from hushed intimacy to explosive climaxes, layering fuzz-drenched guitars, dreamy vocals, and deeply personal lyrics. Since forming, they’ve supported Goat Girl, The Buoys, Hotline TNT, and Girl in Red, and toured the UK twice, including dates with Blood Wizard.
Their debut single Wishful Thinking – recorded and produced by the band, mixed by Sonny Diperri (Julie, DIIV, Protomartyr) – is a fuzz-laden shoegaze anthem born after their rehearsal space burned down, destroying all their gear. It’s a song of resilience, catharsis, and a touch of the supernatural.

Magi Merlin (CAN)
Indie Pop, Alternative R&B, Electronica
It would not be entirely accurate to refer to Magi Merlin as only a singer or a songwriter. Music is indeed at the core of her artistry, but her world expands beyond the medium. It is one that is equally visual as it is auditory, one that is continuously shaped through collaborations with producers such as Funkywhat, designers, photographers, video directors and even film directors: Magi Merlin recently made her acting debut with a role in the movie "Mile End Kicks" from writer-director Chandler Levack (“I Like Movies”).
As she’s been spending the majority of her time in the studio, Magi Merlin is back with “A Weird Little Dog”, an unexpected and unapologetic EP which comes out right on time for the start of an American tour in support of contemporary jazz artist Nubya Garcia. Co-produced by Merlin and Montreal beatsmith Funkywhat, “A Weird Little Dog” sees the former leaning deeper than ever into her artistic integrity, intentionally avoiding traditional commerciality and trusting her fans and listeners to take their time with this work and hopefully, see them-selves in it.

pierre kwenders (CAN)
Afrobeats, Electronic
Pierre Kwenders fluidly dismantles boundaries of genre, country and culture in his inventive indie-Afro electro sound, merging Western and African styles into warm grooves punctuated by impassioned vocals. Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, as José Louis Modabi, Pierre Kwenders (his grandfather's name, chosen in legacy) sings and raps in Lingala, French, English, Tshiluba and Kikongo, mining the languages' lyrical and aesthetic distinctions for peak emotional resonance. Emotionally inspired by self-acceptance, self-discovery and the strength of the women in his family, Kwenders's latest album brought him to Seattle to record and work with producer Fly Guy Dai (aka Tendai Maraire of Shabazz Palaces) creating tracks that move from thumping house, rumba trap and West Coast hip-hop to pan-African influenced instrumentals, jazz horns, rock guitars and indie-Afro melodies. He's supported Arcade Fire at their annual fundraiser for the charity Kanpe, recently teamed up with Dear Denizen's Ngabonziza Kiroko as future soul duo ABAKOS, and hosts weekly residency Méké Méké at Ti-Agrikol resto-bar, spotlighting African and Caribbean flavoured house and global dance sounds. Strikingly stylish and engaging on stage, live with his band or DJing, the globe-trotting Kwenders is also co-founder of Moonshine (originally an after-hours party coinciding with the full moon), now an artist collective, label and event crew focused on increasing the diversity of Montréal's creative output.

Sodl (AT)
Indie Folk, Rock
Anyone who mistakes Sodl’s forest-fairy aesthetic for a dreamy folk act will be in for a rude awakening with hits like I am a Woman and Mary, The Anarchist. This year’s winner of the Austrian Amadeus Music Award in the FM4 category doesn’t shy away from harsh contrasts — she celebrates them, with Heavy Distortion and flowers in her Rapunzel hair.
With Sheepman (2025), the 21-year-old unveils her self-produced debut album — a tightrope walk between fairytale escapism and feminist outcry. Amid mystical beings, devotion, and female desire, she sings about structural oppression and the struggle for space and visibility as a woman. Musically, the songwriter from Austria’s Salzkammergut region wraps her poetic lyrics in the raw sound of the 1990s.

YAAMA (GER)
Alterbative-Pop, Progressive Pop
YAAMA is a Hamburg-based singer, songwriter, composer, and producer whose music thrives on contrasts. Her sound feels both familiar and new, as if Joni Mitchell, after a brief detour with Pink Floyd, returned to pop, or Enya embraced drum’n’bass. The result defies easy comparison and stands entirely on its own, shifting seamlessly from epic, ceremonial atmospheres to intimate, delicate moments. Raised between the cultivated world of weekly choir rehearsals and the jukeboxes of smoky bars in her hometown Bremerhaven, YAAMA absorbed both sophisticated music and pop classics from an early age. Later, time spent in New York deepened her connection to the folk and indie rock scenes, inspiring her to develop a distinct musical language. Her lyrics focus on fleeting moments where beauty and pain intersect – a sudden ache in the chest in a moment of true closeness, glassy eyes while hearing a sublime piece of music, or the quiet pleasure found in melancholy.
